Pachthar Power Company Ltd

Nestled in the rugged eastern hills of Panchthar, Pachthar Power Company Ltd stands as one of River Group's earliest and most enduring commitments to Nepal's energy future. Since beginning operations in 2017, the project has demonstrated that sustainable hydropower development and community prosperity can go hand in hand. With 14.9 MW of installed capacity feeding into the national grid, it has provided years of reliable clean energy while creating lasting employment and economic activity in one of Nepal's more remote districts. As a publicly listed company, it has also opened doors for everyday Nepali citizens to participate directly in the country's growing energy economy, turning a local river's potential into shared national wealth.

Super Madi Hydropower Ltd

Kaski is synonymous with Nepal's natural grandeur, towering peaks, glacial rivers, and landscapes that draw the world's gaze. Super Madi Hydropower Ltd channels that natural abundance into 44 MW of clean, reliable energy for the national grid. Now fully operational since 2023, the project represents a significant step up in scale for River Group, proving that larger, more complex hydropower investments can be delivered successfully in Nepal's challenging terrain. Beyond its generation capacity, Super Madi has brought infrastructure development, skilled employment, and long-term economic opportunity to the communities of Kaski, transforming the Madi River's flow into a sustained engine of local growth.

River Side Hydropower Ltd

Taplejung is home to some of Nepal's most powerful and pristine river systems, and River Side Hydropower Ltd is built to harness that potential responsibly. With a projected capacity of 47.5 MW, the project is currently under construction and on track to become a significant contributor to Nepal's eastern energy infrastructure. The development goes beyond the powerhouse, access roads, local employment, and community investment are being built in parallel, ensuring that the surrounding villages share meaningfully in the project's long-term benefits. River Side Hydropower reflects River Group's belief that energy infrastructure in remote Nepal must serve both the national grid and the people who live closest to it.

Gorakshya Hydropower

Gorakshya Hydropower Ltd, a project designed to generate 25.4 MW of clean energy using water from Tatopani (Ilep) Khola, embodies River Group's commitment to sustainable energy development. The project aims to survey, construct, and operate both the hydropower plant and transmission line while developing necessary infrastructure such as roads and construction power. Beyond energy production, Gorakshya Hydropower is dedicated to uplifting the social and economic status of local communities, providing direct and indirect investment opportunities. By mobilizing local and international funds, the project supports the government’s mission to reduce load shedding and harness Nepal’s untapped hydropower potential. It also encourages public participation and empowerment, fostering better living standards through renewable energy initiatives.

Tamor Energy Ltd

Tamor Energy Ltd is in a category of its own, a 285 MW flagship project that represents River Group's most ambitious undertaking to date. Located in the hydropower-rich corridors of Taplejung, the Tamor River holds enormous untapped potential, and this project is designed to convert that potential into transformational energy output for Nepal. At this scale, the impact extends far beyond load shedding relief: Tamor Energy has the capacity to position Nepal as a genuine power exporter to the broader South Asian region, generating foreign exchange and reshaping the country's energy economy. The project's development will catalyze road infrastructure, local industry, and employment across a wide geographic area, making it not just an energy investment, but a regional development catalyst.

Palun Khola Hydropower Ltd

Palun Khola Hydropower Ltd brings focused, community-scale energy development to the highlands of Taplejung. At 21 MW, the project is designed to be efficient and targeted, harnessing the Palun Khola's consistent flow to deliver reliable power to the grid while keeping the development footprint proportionate to the landscape and communities it serves. Currently under construction, the project prioritizes local participation from the ground up, ensuring that nearby communities aren't just bystanders to development but active stakeholders in it. Palun Khola Hydropower represents River Group's recognition that Nepal's energy transition will be built not only through large flagship projects, but through a portfolio of well-executed, locally grounded investments.

Dhading Ankhu Khola Hydropower Pvt. Ltd

Dhading sits at the doorstep of Kathmandu, close to demand, yet rich in the river resources that make hydropower viable. Dhading Ankhu Khola Hydropower Pvt. Ltd leverages this geographic advantage, developing 44 MW of clean energy capacity along the Ankhu Khola in one of Nepal's most strategically located districts. As the newest addition to River Group's portfolio, the project broke ground in 2026 and is being designed with lessons drawn from every project that came before it. Its proximity to central Nepal's transmission infrastructure reduces delivery costs and complexity, while its development is expected to bring meaningful road access, employment, and economic activity to communities that have historically lacked both energy and opportunity.
